Asian Asthma Prevention Program

Asthma BoyFunded by the Ohio Commission on Minority Health

Asthma is a potentially life-threatening lung disease. It claims the lives of over 4000 people in America annually and is more and more prevalent every year. It is a chronic disease, which means that if you have asthma, you have it for the rest of your life. It is diagnosed in the elderly and the young as well as all ages in between. While asthma cannot be cured, it can be controlled.

The Asian Asthma Prevention Program reaches out to educate the Asian community of Franklin County about asthma. Group workshops are available, as well as one-on-one asthma management counseling. Asthma is a disease that affects every member of our community. If you think or know that you have asthma, the Asian Asthma Prevention Program can help.
