Asian American Community Services

The purpose of this project is to target specific audiences in the area of outreach to un/underserved and to increase awareness of disability services and to improve the lives and function of children and families living with special needs . 

With the partnership of ODDC and Franklin County Board of MR/DD, the Asian American Community Services accomplished in- service training and site visits in 2005 to translators and interpreters prior to translating the information from Franklin County Board of MR/DD into six languages which are: Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotian, Japanese and Cambodian.  AACS will collaborate with Nationwide Children's’ Hospital and Franklin County Board of MR/DD. (FCBMR/DD) to develop and facilitate in-service training for AACS Staffs, Interpreters and community liaisons.
